This was the second year that New AG International had a theme for each issue. All our usual sections were there, but for each issue we devoted some of the editorial to addressing a particular topic.

The year began with the March issue where the theme was ‘Soil’ and approached from several angles. In June it was ‘Regulation’, in September it was ‘Water’ and in November it was ‘Biological innovation’.

Across the four digital issues of New AG International, we ran 56 features, as well as additional news items. These were across the New AG topics, covering biosimulants, biocontrol, biofertilizer, specialty fertilizer, water-soluble fertilizer, products & trends, irrigation, greenhouse cropping and agronomy & economics. As well as in-house writers, we had a raft of external contributors to boost the knowledge and insight that comes with each issue.

So what’s next?
In our March-April 2026 issue of New AG International, the theme will be ‘Salinity’, which will be viewed from different perspectives, from products that combat salinity, to soil treatments and irrigation strategies, to crops that can grow in saline soils.

The Regional Report will be Central Asia – a huge expanse of land that grows a lot, and suffers from salinity, but does not receive much attention. Is there anything here for specialty fertilizer and bio-inputs?

We will also be looking forward to the 2026 New AG Annual event where a talking point will be CBAM – how is the fertilizer market adapting to it?
