Bioline AgroSciences appoints new CEO

January 5, 2026

Gerry Huygens has been appointed chief executive officer (CEO) of Bioline AgroSciences, part of a move that they say will strengthen the company’s leadership in biocontrol solutions.

As part of this transition, Ludwik Pokorny, who has led Bioline Agrosciences through a phase of development and international expansion, will transition to the role of executive chairman of the Board.

Bioline states that this strengthened leadership model supports the company’s ambition to be an even more reliable, agile and performance-driven partner for growers, distributors and strategic allies.

Huygens brings deep expertise in scaling international businesses, driving operational excellence and leading complex transformations. As CEO, he will have full responsibility for day-to-day leadership and execution

“Bioline AgroSciences has strong strategic foundations, a differentiated portfolio and a clear mission,” said Huygens. “My focus will be on execution that matters for our customers. Customer intimacy and innovation will be key priorities: faster response, reliable supply, strong technical support and solutions that perform in real farming conditions. Together with our partners, we will continue to build resilient, sustainable agricultural systems.”

As executive chairman, Pokorny will remain actively involved in shaping Bioline AgroSciences’ long-term strategic direction, supporting the leadership team, managing key client and partner relationships, and leading M&A and strategic development initiatives, ensuring continuity and alignment as the company scales.

“Bioline AgroSciences is entering a new phase that requires an increased focus on execution, discipline and speed,” said Pokorny. “Our priority remains the same: helping our customers and partners succeed.”

Bioline is an international company operating in six countries, and specializing in the development, production and commercialization of biological crop protection and biocontrol solutions.
