Investment firm DVC Partners has taken a majority investment in Spanish biocontrol company Kimitec.

Kimitec has recently signed distribution agreements in India and Japan, and in June 2025 launched two new products with Bayer that are subject to regulatory approval. Both products were developed at the MAAVi Innovation Center, Kimitec’s research hub in Spain.

“With the support of DVC Partners, Kimitec is entering a new phase of development, focused on accelerating its innovation, strengthening its global footprint and deepening its leadership in sustainable agriculture,” said DVC in a statement on social media.

The investment company has a diverse portfolio describing itself as “Deep value specialists applying a contrarian and disciplined investment approach to unlock hidden potential”. Its portfolio includes 123live, a German live-shopping platform, amor, a jewellery distribution group, Gensaurea, a gold recycler, and Kompas, a travel company in the Adriatic and Central Eastern Europe. Kimitec is the only agricultural company in the current portfolio.
