Roquette launches plant-based ingredient range for agricultural formulations

June 25, 2026

Roquette has introduced NEOSORB AG, a new range of plant-based multifunctional polyols designed to help formulators develop agricultural products that support crop performance, nutrient delivery and resilience under challenging growing conditions.

The new platform is aimed at agriscience professionals seeking ingredients that can serve multiple functions within crop input formulations while maintaining consistent quality and performance.

According to Roquette, the NEOSORB AG range combines potential biostimulant properties with moisture-retention capabilities for foliar and liquid fertilizer products, while also supporting micronutrient delivery through organic complexation. The company says the ingredients can be used in a variety of agricultural formulations, including foliar nutrition products, liquid fertilizers, micronutrient products, adjuvants and biostimulants.

The range includes two liquid products: NEOSORB AG S50 and NEOSORB AG L20.

NEOSORB AG S50 contains 69.5% to 70.5% dry matter, 10% mannitol and at least 69% sorbitol. Roquette said tomato trials conducted under salinity stress showed that foliar applications of the product improved several agronomic indicators compared with sodium chloride controls, including biomass, chlorophyll content and root length.

The second product, NEOSORB AG L20, contains 65% dry matter, 10% mannitol and between 50% and 70% sorbitol on a dry-matter basis. Roquette said the ingredient is designed for use in a broad range of formulations where it can help improve moisture retention, nutrient delivery and plant resilience while simplifying formulation development.

“Through the NEOSORB AG range, we offer formulators more flexibility to develop innovative high-value solutions adapted to their product design objectives and market needs,” said Julien Honoré, Head of Agriscience at Roquette.

Roquette, a global supplier of plant-based ingredients and bio-based solutions, said the launch reflects growing demand for formulation ingredients that can help products perform under increasingly variable environmental conditions while supporting sustainable agriculture goals.

The family-owned company operates in more than 150 countries and provides plant-based solutions for food, health, bioindustry and agriscience markets. In agriculture, its portfolio focuses on ingredients that support plant health and crop growth.
