Acadian Plant Health secures EU CE Mark for abiotic stress biostimulant

August 25, 2026

Acadian Plant Health has secured CE Mark certification in the European Union (EU) for Ready for Stress, its first registered product for managing abiotic stress under its new portfolio.

The certification allows the product to be sold across all 27 EU member states and marks a new formulation category for the company. The company said Ready for Stress is designed to help crops better tolerate environmental stresses such as drought and salinity.

The product is part of Acadian’s new abiotic stress management (ASM) portfolio, which combines proprietary seaweed extracts with other bioactive components. The formulations are intended to provide consistent performance when crops are exposed to environmental stress, while supporting yield, quality and crop stability.

“As climate volatility intensifies, growers face increasing pressure to protect yield and quality from drought, salinity and other abiotic stresses,” says Nelson Gibson, CEO, Acadian Seaplants. “Ready for Stress is the first product in our next-generation ASM portfolio. It is purpose-built to help growers build more resilient crop production systems.”

The CE Mark confirms that Ready for Stress meets the requirements of the EU Fertilizing Products Regulation (FPR), which establishes requirements for plant biostimulants sold in the EU. The certification also clears the way for Acadian and its distribution partners to begin commercial rollout of the product.

Ready for Stress is authorized for use on vegetable crops, ornamental plants, and aromatic and medicinal plant groups. Its certified claims include improved tolerance to environmental stresses, enhanced root growth and improved quality traits.

The product is intended to complement standard crop management practices by helping crops cope with environmental conditions that can reduce productivity and quality.

“This CE Mark is an important regulatory achievement for Acadian and a significant step forward for our ASM portfolio,” says Gibson. “Ready for Stress delivers proven performance under stress conditions. We can now bring that value to producers across the EU with confidence and speed.”
