Verdesian Life Sciences‘ CROP+ biostimulant has been certified under The Fertilizer Institute’s (TFI) Certified Biostimulant Program, confirming that the product meets industry standards for efficacy, safety and composition following an independent review process.
CROP+ is a foliar nutritional supplement designed to help plants tolerate abiotic stress while improving crop yield and quality. The certification gives Verdesian three TFI-certified biostimulants, joining Primacy Alpha and Take Off LS.
“Abiotic stress can significantly impact plant health and productivity, making it critical to understand the biological processes that influence crop performance under challenging conditions,” said Dr. Apurva Bhargava, senior scientist, molecular biology at Verdesian Life Sciences. “Our research focuses on understanding how plants respond to environmental stress and identifying ways to enhance those natural responses. This certification reflects the depth of research and scientific rigor behind CROP+.”
According to the company, CROP+ has been on the market for 15 years and has demonstrated consistent performance across a range of crops, growing regions and field conditions. Applied during key growth stages, the product is designed to support photosynthesis, nutrient uptake and antioxidant activity to help crops perform under environmental stress.
The Fertilizer Institute launched its Certified Biostimulant Program in 2023 to establish consistent standards for product efficacy, safety and composition. The program is intended to provide manufacturers, ag retailers and growers with greater confidence in independently reviewed biostimulant products.
With the addition of CROP+, 17 products from multiple manufacturers have now received TFI Certified Biostimulant status.
