May 29, 2025

Yara has announced that YaraAmplix PROCOTE OPTIMIZE has received the CE mark certification as a plant biostimulant in accordance with the EU Fertilizing Products Regulation (FPR).

The biostimulant, designed for fertilizer coating, is now officially certified for its key claim: “Increase the availability of applied N, P & K in the soil and the rhizosphere for all types of soil and pH categories.”

A total of 12 trials under controlled conditions were conducted by independent Contract Research Organizations (CROs) across Europe. All trials for justifying the product claims have been performed according to the requirements and quality criteria as defined in the European Standards for Plant biostimulants developed by CEN/TC 455.

The trials demonstrated an average increase in nutrient use efficiency (NUE), with nitrogen up by 23.6%, phosphorus by 22.1%, and potassium by 22.7% compared to the control.

YaraAmplix PROCOTE OPTIMIZE features a formulation of natural substances specially designed for fertilizer coating, to ensure ease, efficiency and flexibility. The company states:
• Its liquid non-aqueous formula makes the product versatile, safe and easy to apply with a large range of granular fertilizers.
• Stable and effective in a large pH range and even under saline conditions.
• Once coated on the fertilizer, the active ingredient does not suffer degradation and has high compatibility with other micronutrient PROCOTE products.
• It guarantees uniform distribution, full coverage, fast drying and permanence of the biostimulant on the granular fertilizer.
