UK fertilizer supplier OMEX has opened the largest liquid fertilizer distribution hub in the Port of Cork, in the south of the Republic of Ireland.

“With a significant storage capacity the Cork terminal is the largest of its kind in Ireland and is strategically positioned to serve all key agricultural regions,” said OMEX.

Inaugurated 5 March, the facility is operating 24/7 supplying liquid N+S fertilisers. OMEX’s Nitroflo product is designed for tillage crops and grassland. Cork is a significant dairy producing region in Ireland.

“Dedicated to serving Irish farmers, our Cork hub guarantees secure access to top-quality liquid fertilisers sourced from multiple global supply chains. This not only ensures supply reliability but also enables competitive pricing and improved flexibility in nutrient application,” said Sam Bell, Managing Director of OMEX Agriculture.

Luke Thornton, Sales Manager Ireland, OMEX said: “Irish farmers are facing increasing pressure to enhance yields while managing input costs and reducing environmental impact. OMEX liquid fertilisers offer a precision-based approach, delivering essential nutrients exactly where and when they are needed.”
