Haifa Group has opened a new blending facility in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.
Based in Uberlândia, the facility will blend the company’s controlled-release fertilizer product Multicote. The company’s release said the plant would deliver ‘dozens of tons of Multicote products daily’ suggesting new capacity of around 5,000-7,000 tonnes per year.
“One of the key advantages of the new blending facility is its customization capability,” said Haifa in its statement. “For the first time, growers in Brazil can benefit from tailor-made Multicote™ formulations, specifically designed to meet their unique crop and soil requirements.”
Haifa has been in Brazil for over 20 years. Guiliana Feldman, Executive Director of Haifa South America said the new facility established the company as a precision nutrition producer in the country.
