Eléphant Vert fully acquires French company BIO3G

December 17, 2024

Eléphant Vert (EV) has become the 100 percent shareholder in French company BIO3G, a producer of biostimulants for soil, plant and animal applications.

“This acquisition is a continuation of a collaboration between the two groups that began in 2018 and is being carried out at the right time for both people and companies,” said an EV statement on 17 December.

BIO3G Group became a subsidiary of EV in 2018, when EV acquired 51 percent of BIO3G Group’s capital. Created in 1997 and located in Brittany, BIO3G has 45 products, six patents, three marketing authorizations, and currently operates in France, Switzerland, Belgium and Germany.

“This transition represents a tremendous opportunity for BIO3G to strengthen its position in the biostimulants market and amplify its positive impact on sustainable agriculture. I am confident that Eléphant Vert will continue to uphold BIO3G’s values and ambitions,” said Marc Guillermou, founder and former director of BIO3G.

A new managing director has been recruited to succeed Marc Guillermou. Pierre-Gilles Gérard took up this position in the summer and also joined the EV executive committee in order to strengthen synergies.

“I am honoured to join BIO3G and to continue the work of Marc Guillermou. With the BIO3G teams and the support of the EV Group, with our proximity to farmers and our technical expertise, we will continue to innovate and offer biosolutions that meet the growing needs of sustainable and efficient agriculture,” said Gérard, CEO BIO3G.

In 2024, EV is present in more than 44 countries around the world, including six subsidiaries integrating production sites in Africa and regular introduction in new markets, such as South America and the Middle East through a growing network of distributors.
