Rivulis expands European smart irrigation portfolio through Spherag partnership

June 18, 2026

Rivulis Europe has entered into a strategic agreement with Spanish agri-tech company Spherag to expand its smart irrigation offerings across European agricultural markets.

Under the partnership, Spherag’s irrigation automation and fertigation technologies will be integrated into the Rivulis portfolio and made available through the company’s dealer network across Europe.

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Zaragoza, Spain, Spherag has grown rapidly by developing decentralized irrigation management systems designed to help growers monitor and control irrigation operations remotely.

A central component of the agreement is Atlas X, Spherag’s flagship internet of things (IoT) device. The unit connects with a cloud-based platform that collects and processes information from a range of field sensors. The system enables real-time monitoring, automation and remote control of irrigation infrastructure, supporting more precise water management and farm operations.

Anthony Sèches, Rivulis Europe technical director, said the agreement aligns with the company’s strategy to advance digital irrigation technologies.

“This partnership marks another important milestone in our strategy to drive innovation and digital transformation in irrigation across Europe. By integrating Spherag technologies into the Rivulis portfolio, we will be able to offer our customers even more efficient, user-friendly solutions aligned with the needs of modern, sustainable agriculture,” Sèches said.

The partnership also gives Rivulis access to a European-based technology provider, offering closer operational support and greater flexibility in serving regional markets.
