Spain-based Futureco Bioscience has opened a new subsidiary, Futureco Tarım TİC. LTD. ŞTİ., headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey.
Positioned at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, the new entity will serve as a hub to support local growers and distributors while expanding operations into Central Asian and Middle Eastern markets.
“Opening a subsidiary here strengthens our proximity to local growers and partners and positions us to share our science-based solutions across a region that will be decisive for the sustainable future of global food production” said Rafael Juncosa, president and CEO of Futureco Bioscience.
Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, Futureco Bioscience develops, manufactures, and markets biostimulants and biological control products. The new subsidiary will concentrate on key Turkish crops such as cereals, potatoes, sugar beet, cotton, fruit trees, vegetables, and vineyards.
“For Turkish producers and exporters, adopting biological technologies is not only a path to sustainability but also a direct driver of competitiveness in international markets,” said Baran Bayram Yucel, country manager of Futureco Bioscience Türkiye. “Türkiye offers immense potential for innovative technologies that enhance both yield and quality. Our local presence allows us to provide immediate technical support and develop protocols adapted to each region’s specific agronomic and climatic conditions.”
Through its local subsidiary, the company will address challenges such as input price and climate variability by maintaining a dedicated presence to manage registration processes, align protocols with EU-style regulatory standards, and diversify its biological programs across regions and crops, balancing seasonal and regional variability.
Futureco Bioscience is now seeking distribution partners in Turkey.
