IPL Biologicals Ltd. (India), Mitsui & Co. India Pvt. Ltd., and Ag Smart Philippines have signed a new partnership to bring biopesticide solutions to Filipino farmers.

The deal was signed by Harsh Vardhan Bhagchandka, president of IPL Biologicals, and Takahiko Watanabe, head of the chemicals division at Mitsui India. Bhagchandka said the collaboration combines IPL’s scientific and product expertise, Mitsui’s global marketing reach, and Ag Smart’s strong local distribution network.

“This tri-partite agreement brings together the technological strength of IPL, the global marketing muscle of the Mitsui group, and the well-established distribution network of Ag Smart in the Philippines,” he said.

Watanabe described the agreement as the beginning of a partnership with significant international potential. “We are very excited to be associated with IPL, known for its product excellence and focus on forward-looking agricultural solutions,” he said.

IPL Biologicals is one of India’s providers of biological crop inputs, offering more than 50 products for pest and disease control, soil health, and plant nutrition. The company operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Haridwar and is commissioning a new, fully automated plant in Gujarat.

Ag Smart, a major distributor of agricultural products in the Philippines, will play a key role in delivering these microbial solutions to farmers across the country. The collaboration marks a major step in expanding sustainable farming practices in Southeast Asia while reducing reliance on chemical pesticides.
