IPL Biologicals Ltd. and Spain-based AFEPASA, a manufacturer of biocontrol, nutrition and biostimulation solutions in Europe, have signed an agreement to globally register and market IPL’s proprietary microbial biopesticides.

The collaboration will kick off with the registration of IPL’s flagship nematicide, starting in Europe and expanding globally.

“Our biological products have shown remarkable efficacy in trials and large field demos all over the world,” says Harsh Vardhan Bhagchandka, president of IPL Biologicals Ltd. “In AFEPASA, we have a partner who will enable us to quickly take-to-the-market our most exciting products.”

Manel Montaño, CEO of AFEPASA, adds: “The strategic collaboration with IPL Biologicals will enable us to offer innovative biopesticides to the European and global markets.”

IPL has over 50 bio solutions for pest and disease management, plant nutrient and health management. IPL Biologicals has recently introduced a second-generation consortium of pure-spore, 100 per cent water-soluble products. IPL is setting up a new state-of-the-art plant in Gujarat with a total outlay of ₹400 crore.

The registration process will begin with three of IPL’s products in six core European countries, followed by 12 core countries across other continents. The registration will eventually expand to 60-70 additional countries through direct and source registration.
