Semios introduces remote fertigation control

April 2, 2025

Precision agriculture company Semios has introduced remote fertigation control using its WiseConn integration.

The company says this feature enables irrigators to manage fertigation pumps and valves alongside scheduled irrigations – all from within the Semios Irrigation Scheduler.

The tool, they say, uses automated on/off controls that replace manual start and stop times, allows farmers to track fertigation events, and offers frequent, target applications.

“Effective irrigation isn’t just about getting water to the right place – it’s about delivering the right nutrients at the right time,” said Bob Coates, product manager of water and nutrients at Almanac, the parent company of Semios.

“With remote irrigation scheduling and automated fertigation working together, you can fine-tune both water and nutrient management, helping your crops thrive while saving you time,” said the company, adding it will be rolling out volumetric and proportional fertigation control in future updates.
