Syngenta has become the latest partner in Eden Research’s roster of distributors of the company’s biopesticides.

An agreement between the two companies will see Eden target the ornamental crops market, including cut flowers, pot plants, trees, shrubs and bulbs, in the EU and UK.

Labelled by Syngenta as Evelta, the biofungicide will help farmers prevent and treat these crops against fungal pathogens.

“In the last five years, Eden has partnered with two of the top five crop protection companies globally, which is a strong endorsement of Eden’s products, technologies and team,” said Sean Smith, chief executive officer of Eden Research. “This agreement complements our existing network of important partnerships which we constantly invest in and mange in order to optimise our commercial execution and deliver value for farmers and Eden’s stakeholders.”

Eden will be responsible for, and maintain ownership of, the product registrations, whilst Syngenta will invest in, conduct, and provide access to, the biological efficacy data needed for registration purposes.
