Koppert and Fresh Energy have signed a renewed and expanded partnership agreement, following the success of Egypt’s first large-scale biological crop protection program in commercial greenhouse production last season.

The agreement was signed on 10 July by Koppert’s representatives Henri Oosthoek (Director of Strategy & Alliances), Boaz Oosthoek (Business Unit Manager Middle East Africa), Yassin Lahiani (Area Manager), and Fresh Energy’s CEO Mohamed Mohab and Managing Director Yousra Mahmoud. It marks a new phase in the collaboration, extending the use of Koppert’s biological crop protection solutions to 300 hectares of greenhouse cultivation for sweet pepper production in Egypt.

Fresh Energy is an agricultural company operating across both greenhouse and open-field cultivation. Together with local partner BioEgypt, the initial collaboration with Koppert marked a breakthrough in Egypt’s horticultural sector. For the first time, a fully biological crop protection program was successfully implemented on a commercial scale for sweet pepper production. This enabled Fresh Energy to meet the demands of its customers by delivering high-quality produce, including compliance with maximum residue levels (MRLs).
