Bionema Group Ltd. has launched BoostBio SP 400, a biobased spray adjuvant that enhances the performance of both conventional crop protection products and biological solutions.

BoostBio SP 400 has been officially registered with the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) under the Plant Protection Products Regulations 2011. It is a fully active, soluble liquid made from 92 percent biobased carbon, is readily biodegradable, and classified as non-hazardous.

Bionema Group Ltd. Is a biocontrol technology company headquartered in Swansea, Wales. The company develops, manufactures, and commercializes biopesticides, biostimulants, and adjuvants.

The company says BoostBio SP 400 is fully compatible with microbial products; and that studies confirm the product is safe for Bacillus, Trichoderma, Beauveria bassiana, Clonostachys rosea and others; controls water activity, extending microbial shelf life in formulations; provides improved efficacy of NeemAzal (Azadirachtin) against Tuta absoluta (tomato leafminer); and shows enhanced performance of Bacillus thuringiensis (Helymax) against Helicoverpa in soybean.

Dr. Minshad Ansari, CEO of Bionema Group, said BoostBio SP 400 is more than an adjuvant. “It’s a breakthrough in how we deliver crop protection. It not only enhances the performance of chemicals but also unlocks the full potential of biologicals, ensuring safer, more sustainable farming for the future.”

Ansari added that independent trials confirm that BoostBio SP 400 reduces pest severity in tomatoes (copper hydroxide trials, Italy) and barley (net blotch trials); shows increased control of barnyard grass, witchgrass, and lovegrass with Nicosulfuron or Clethodim; provides enhanced absorption of both hydrophilic and lipophilic actives into plant tissues; maintains efficacy under rainfall conditions; and is verified in wind tunnel and drone application trials, cutting fine droplets <150 μm and improving on-target deposition.
