Andermatt Group AG has acquired an 80 percent majority shareholding in Agricheck Srl, a biocontrol and agricultural technology provider, in Argentina.

In a news release, Andermatt noted that the acquisition strengthens Andermatt Group’s global presence in sustainable agriculture and enhances access to the South American market.

“The acquisition enables us to strengthen our engagement in the South American market and provide farmers in Argentina and beyond with advanced biological solutions,” said Daniel Zingg, CEO of Andermatt Group.

The company added that its acquisition of Agricheck Srl, a partnering distributor company for over 20 years, enhances Andermatt’s global reach and reinforces its commitment to promoting the production of ‘Healthy Food and Healthy Environment, for all’.

Agricheck noted the collaboration will allow the company to scale its operations, expand its offereings, and bring new sustainable solutions to farmers across Argentina. Agricheck Srl, based in northern Patagonia, Argentina, specializes in biocontrol technologies and precision agriculture solutions.
