Rovensa Next has appointed Victor Sonzogno as its new Head of Brazil, effective immediately. He will report to Riccardo Vanelli, Rovensa Next’s Chief Commercial Officer.
Sonzogno’s career of over 22 years leading operations for foreign groups across Brazil and Latin America, is marked by strong performance in the biologicals sector and strategic consulting. Rovensa Next says Sonzogno is “renowned for his expertise in accelerating results, business development, restructuring, and post-acquisition integration.” As a leadership team member for agribusiness companies, “he has a proven track record of surpassing challenging budget targets and expanding biologicals awareness.”

Rovensa Next’s presence in Brazil includes over 500 employees and two production plants. The Campinas facility specializes in bionutrition, biofertilizers, and biostimulants, especially microorganism-based products, housing an Excellence Center for Biological and Microorganism Product Design and a Pilot Plant for formulation development. The Arapongas plant focuses on biocontrol products and orange oil-based adjuvants.
Prior to joining Rovensa Next, Sonzogno spent over 11 years leading Syngenta Biologicals in Brazil, and as Head of LatAm, including nine years as Head of Valagro commercial and industrial operations in the region. His background also includes 11 years in management consulting as Founder and Managing Director of VEX Consultoria and Manager of the International Division at Ambrosetti, advising European companies establishing market entry strategies in Brazil.
Sonzogno holds a postgraduate certificate in leadership from MIT/Columbia/Tuck, an executive MBA in finance from IBMEC/INSPER, a project management (PMBOK) certification from Poli-USP, and a B.A. in business administration from FEA-USP (2003).
