A novel technology for the production of potassium sulphate fertilizers
Haifa, Israel, February 26, 2009 - FPC Enterprise Ltd, an Israeli R&D company, announced that it has developed a new energy saving process, comparing to common Mannheim process, for the production of fully soluble potassium sulphate compound fertilizers from potash, sulfuric acid and ammonia where pure HCl gas is a byproduct.
The company indicates that two mainstream products can be obtained:
- NK formula 4-0-42 (SO4=57%) for chlorine sensitive crops and/or saline soils.
- Acidic potassium sulfate 0-0-45 (SO4=57%), pH=1.8, for fertigation applications for calcareous soils and/or high bicarbonate content irrigation waters.
The company will introduce its products and technology to a broad international audience on the occasion of the 7th New Ag International Conference & Exhibition in Barcelona, 25-27 March, 2009.
