Slow release fertilizers: Pioneer Hi-Bred Italia and Sadepan launch IDEA™ brand
Sadepan Chimica S.r.l. and Pioneer Hi-Bred Italia S.r.l., a DuPont business, have announced their partnership for production and distribution of a range of slow release nitrogen fertilizer, based on methylene-urea. Under this partnership agreement Sadepan Chimica S.r.l. will develop and produce exclusive formulations of slow release nitrogen fertilizers and Pioneer will promote and sell them in the Italian market, through its Agronomists and Crop Specialists network. The new fertilizers will be marketed under the IDEA™ Brand.
The combination of Sadepan’s extensive experience and knowledge of slow release nitrogen fertilizers with Pioneer’s leadership in agronomy science and plant nutrition has been central to the development and marketing of the new brand.
The new fertilizers will be introduced as part of Pioneer’s unique soil analysis service for Italian farmers with the aim of setting specific fertilization programs by crop and by specific area. Crops to benefit from this service offering combining these new fertilizers and soil analysis system include broad acre crops-wheat, barley, canola- with a special focus on maize.
