International Symposium on Soilless Culture and Hydroponics

Over the last fifteen years, the worldwide area destined to hydroponics production has been increased considerably. At the moment, it is considered about more than 35.000 hectares is used for hydroponics production. Nowadays soilless culture and hydroponics are the most intensive methods of vegetable production. The future increase of hydroponics usage in Latin America and other related countries will depend on the development and adaptation of less sophisticated production systems - opposite to the sophisticated technology generated in developed countries. This will be the first event that will take place in the Region. The official languages of the conference will be English and Spanish. There will be simultaneous translation betweeen the two. An area is allocated in the lateral rooms of the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina Auditorium during the symposium so that companies can exhibit and offer their products.

New Ag International is the exclusive partnering magazine of the event. All delegates will have a copy of the latest english and spanish editions in their wallets. A comprehensive report on the Symposium will be published in the October (Spanish) and November (English) 2008 editions of the magazine.
